As you can imagine, such an approach requires that physicians examine all the components of the patient’s life to provide a diagnosis that is not based on symptoms, but on the biological, psychological and social realities of the patient. Consequently, treating the patient is not just intended to reduce symptoms, but to help more the person recover. The diagnosis and resulting treatment must be suited to the psychological, social and biological needs of the patient.
